I've spent 8+ years building software that millions of people use, and every stop has taught me something. At Amazon, I learned how big "global" really is. At Zomato, I learned that one tiny discount bug can mess up a lot of dinners, so now I test twice (at least :P). Engineering Manager · District
Started out building the plumbing for a brand-new app. Two years later, I was leading the team behind its Events business.
- Owned the tech for the entire Events business: discovery, booking and support for customers; onboarding, inventory, payouts and reports for organisers; and tools for internal teams.
- Built for big on-sales: 900K requests a minute of real traffic at peak, with ~10,000 live events at any time.
- Built and launched District's website in one week so fans could book India cricket match tickets online.
- Grew the team: ~100 interviews, 10+ hires, 6 promotions.
- Built a self-healing ticket inventory system with phased pricing that switches automatically as tickets sell.
- Automated organiser billing so finance releases payouts in one click, then built automatic payouts for trusted organisers.
- Launched Monuments with the Archaeological Survey of India and helped build Play.
- Shipped features that became products: Buy Now Pay Later, ticket insurance, ticket transfer and self-serve refunds.
- Built a layout engine that lets the ops team change what the app shows, to whom and when, without an app release.

- Launched Zomato Gold on the discounts side, for millions of users.
- Made discount checks 10× leaner, from ~2,000 evaluated per request to ~200.
- Built "what you see is what you get" discounts: once you see an offer, it stays yours from browsing to checkout.
- Let customers stack two promos with a new unified offer wall.

Beyond work
I love driving: 85,000 km and counting, including a spontaneous 1,000 km loop through Punjab in 30 hours, just for the drive. I've explored 16 Indian states and union territories, usually with a detour to some old monument.
At home, it's a AAA game (The Last of Us is still the best), a FIFA night with friends that gets loud, anime, or a Veritasium rabbit hole about space or evolution. I can also solve a Rubik's cube in under a minute (best: 24 seconds), and I play chess, mostly badly. Want proof? or .
